WHAT TO EXPECT
Your Introduction to Therapy
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a bit anxious, nervous, or even unsure about what to expect. Please know that you're not alone in feeling this way. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible from the moment you arrive.

When you walk through the door, you'll be greeted with a warm smile. I'll show you to a cosy chair, and there'll be water and tissues ready for you. My aim is simply to create a safe space where you can just be yourself.
How We'll Work Together
Our first session is all about getting to know each other. You can tell me a little bit about yourself, your story, and what you hope to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to have it all figured out, and it's okay if you're not sure where to start.

I work in a pluralistic way, which means I don't follow a single, rigid approach. Instead, I draw on a wide range of tools and methods, tailoring our work to your unique needs and preferences. In essence, our sessions will unfold organically, guided by what feels right for you. The most important thing is that we connect and you feel safe enough to be open with me.
What to Expect in Our Sessions
Over time, we'll gently explore and understand what might be causing or contributing to the challenges you're facing. I'll help you to process things that have been holding you back, navigate difficult decisions, or simply deal with the big emotions that come with life.

But therapy isn't just about problem-solving. We'll also work on helping you to fully understand and accept yourself, and to show yourself the compassion you deserve.

I'll be there to support you every step of the way, making suggestions and encouraging you to explore things that I feel are relevant to your situation, even if their significance isn't immediately clear to you. I'll always explain my thinking and make sure you're with me on the journey. Our conversations will be relaxed, and it's okay for there to be tears, laughter, or even silence—I will always meet you exactly where you are.

All you need to do is show up. I'll make sure you feel seen, heard, and understood.
